KiDazzles is the DC Metroplex’s only inclusive children’s center . . . where ALL kids can learn to tumble, celebrate a birthday, or explore the world as they find it.

Instead of just finding larger space for speech and occupational therapy, CSTC made the decision to expand the vision of serving our clients and launched KiDazzles. In addition to larger treatment facilities, KiDazzles will include:

· A gym providing an inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment for physical activities
· A sensory center for sensory integration
· A classroom for a preschool enrichment programs
· A learning center
· A parent resource center

The services provided will include:

· Pre-school enrichment programs
· After school programs
· Birthday parties
· Yoga, dance and martial arts classes
· Arts and crafts classes
· Tumbling/gymnastics
· Parenting classes
· Seminars on special needs topics

In keeping with the CSTC philosophy, the entire facility will be dedicated to parent education and be a center of knowledge and networking. KiDazzles will be a resource that parents can turn to for help with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), advocacy, referrals to other professional services, attend classes on issues that affect them and their families and, most of all, where they can network with other parents with similar concerns.

It will also be a safe and supervised environment where children with special needs and their mainstream neighbors can meet and engage in a range of activities with appropriate stimulation for all development levels. It will be inclusive, not exclusive.

CSTC has set up a Yahoo Group to provide our staff a way of communicating with our clients as we put the plans in place for KiDazzles. We feel that it is critical that our clients can have input into the planning process so that we are able to provide a facility and services that meet or exceed their needs.
