Summer Social Skills Groups

Children’s Speech Therapy Center is pleased to offer a week-long social skills camp using a Social Thinking®curriculum this summer.

 

Who is this camp for?  Social Thinking® is geared towards children with near average to above average IQ who have social cognitive deficits as a result of High Functioning Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Social Anxiety, Non-verbal Learning Disorder, PDD-NOS, or those with no specific diagnosis.  Groups will be formed based on age and social communication profile, with no more than 5 children in a group.

 

The camp will run from 10am-1pm Monday-Thursday on the following weeks:

June 26-29

July 10-14

July 17-20

July 24-27

Families will be required to pre-register and pre-pay for the weeklong session at a rate of $800 per week.

 

**The camp will be taught by Alicia McFadden M.A. CCC-SLP, who is currently one of only three speech pathologists in the state of Virginia who has completed the Social Thinking Clinical Training Program.**

Once we have your questionnaire, we will be able to determine what types of groups we will have.  There will be an information session May 18th at 7pm to explain the structure and content of the groups.
